I think I might be a bit obsessed with Janice Hallett at the moment. The Killer Question is the second book by her that I’ve finished in a week, and I’m officially hooked. This book absolutely captivated me from start to finish. It is honestly so bingeable – whenever I sat down to read it I would read a minimum of 100 pages at at time. The format that it is told in just makes it incredibly readable, and the plot makes you not want to put it down.
The cast of characters in The Killer Question is honestly just so quirky and amazing. I loved how obsessed these characters were with their weekly pub quiz. There is the team that is used to winning, the team of cyclists who are just there for the atmosphere, the team of elderly people who don’t care about winning, and the mysterious new team who seem to get everything right.
There was so much intrigue in this story. I absolutely did not expect the twists and turns. And the ending definitely surprised me. Janice Hallett is officially an auto-buy author for me now. I can’t help it – I’m hooked!
